ANNOUNCEMENT
Internet Connect Company (Atlantic.Net) has been recognized as one of the Florida 100, a compilation of high-growth privately held companies in the state of Florida. The list is compiled by the University of Florida's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), and Accounting Research and Professional Education (CARPE), in the College of Business Administration. The annual project identifies the 100 fastest-growing private companies in Florida. Recipients must meet four strict requirements to be eligible. For more information on the Florida 100, please visit http://www.cba.ufl.edu/florida100 on the University of Florida Web site.

NEW LOCATIONS
Port St. Lucie is the newest addition to the expanding area that Atlantic.Net covers. We are planning to begin offering local 56K dial-up access in St. Augustine sometime during September and in Crystal River sometime in October. If you would like to see us expand into a particular area, please let us know, and we will see what we can do.

A complete listing of our current POPs (Points-of-Presence) is available online. Remember that you can use your account to dial-in from any of the cities where we offer local access (if you go there on vacation, move, etc.). In addition, you may refer new users (family, friends, etc.) who live in any of these cities for a free month of access.

56K ACCESS - V.90 & K56FLEX
We are currently offering V.90 56K access in the following areas: Bronson, Gainesville, New Port Richey, Ocala, Palatka, Plant City, St. Petersburg, Stuart, Tampa and Trenton. K56flex access is being offered in these areas: Brooksville, Cocoa, Kissimmee, Lake City, Lake Mary, Melbourne, Mount Dora, Orlando, Port St. Lucie, and Starke. The K56flex service will be upgraded to V.90 once we receive a reliable upgrade code for the different types of modems we use.

Jacksonville is scheduled to be upgraded to 56K (V.90) service in September. The dates for installation of 56K service are subject to change. For more information on 56K service, please visit our 56K information site.

NEW NETSCAPE SOFTWARE
Atlantic.Net is now distributing Netscape Communicator software instead of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you are currently using Internet Explorer and you would like to try out our Netscape software, please visit our Software Center to download it. We believe that our new software package is much better than the old one, particularly for our members using Macintosh systems, so you may want to try it out.

PREFERRED PARTNER LOCATOR
If you are looking for a great computer store or repair shop in your area, we invite you to visit our Preferred Partner Locator Web page. We are happy to associate with the companies listed at that location. You can search for businesses in your local area that specialize in computer sales, computer repair, Web design and more.

AUTOMATIC PAYMENT OF YOUR ACCOUNT
If you haven't already done so, you may want to start paying for your Atlantic.Net account through automatic debit of your checking account. There is no additional fee for this option, and it is available on a monthly basis. For more information on this option, please go to our ACH Debiting information site.

QUESTION AND ANSWER
Q. How is Atlantic.Net preparing for the year 2000?

A. To ensure the same uninterrupted service it normally offers, Atlantic.Net has put together a comprehensive year 2000 compliance program. We are working with vendors to ensure that all the equipment used in our network will continue normal operation into the year 2000 and beyond. In addition, we are also reviewing all of the custom-built software used in the network and business operations of the company. Please visit our Year 2000 Compliance Site for more information.

Please visit our technical support site for answers to many common questions. We are adding new information all the time, so you may want to take a look at it often.

NETWORK OPERATIONS MAILING LIST
If you are technically inclined, and you want to stay updated regularly on things that are happening with the network, we have a Network Operations Center mailing list. If you want to subscribe to this list, please send a message to atlantic-noc-request@atlantic.net, with the word SUBSCRIBE on the first line of the message.
