You Said It!
Our representatives are always ready and able to help you
with any questions. But don't take our word for it! Take a look
at what some of your fellow members had to say about Atlantic.Net!
After speaking with Member Services Representative Denise
C., Scott Fredricksen, Jr. responded, "Today Denise delivered
better-than-expected customer service, which says a lot, as I
expect a lot out of your company. She was helpful, patient, and
most importantly, she was nice. I have never called your company
and received poor service and that is something that I, for one,
appreciate."
Lou Lopez was quite impressed with the service he received
from Member Services Representative Bryan A. He writes, "His
polite and professional demeanor is to be commended as much as
his demonstrated skill in diagnosing my problem and guiding me
through a successful procedure. With a staff comprised of personnel
like Bryan, you can count on keeping me as a customer for life."
Member Services Representative Kevin D. can add one more
satisfied customer to his list! Suzy Cohen writes, "I am
grateful for his help and the continued good service that I get
with Atlantic.Net. Another happy customer."
If you've got a comment or suggestion on how Atlantic.Net can
better serve you, please e-mail us at feedback@atlantic.net.

Protect Your Network
from Attackers
The itsy bitsy virus climbed in your hard drive space, down came
the firewall and washed the virus out! Out came the sun, and the
world was right as rain, and the itsy bitsy virus was never heard
from again.
Love happy endings? Well, your lullaby may not end so happily
if you don't properly protect your babies from bugs and eight-legged
attackers. Here's a look at how you can protect your computer
and wash the invaders out!
Fight Fire with Fire. Blast hackers by
boosting your protection with a firewall! A firewall's
purpose is to keep intruders out of your network, allowing
you to get your job done while blocking suspicious incoming connections.
It not only provides real security, but it can also permit and
block certain traffic.
On Standby. Don't spend hours, months, and even years accumulating
important documents and critical data, and then forget to take
a moment to back
up all those files! When a computer crashes, all that information
will be lost without a trace, unless you have backup files on
standby to save the day! Back up any applications that you MUST
be able to recover in the event of a system failure. It may end
up saving your job or your business!
Count on Colocation. By choosing to colocate your server
in a secure environment, you'll be assured fast connections, swift
data transfer, and reliability. Colocation
services at Atlantic.Net offer customers the benefit of housing
their servers in one of our secure, fireproof, climate-controlled
data centers with a direct connection to the Internet backbone.
Our high-speed connections guarantee that your servers are always
up and running. That's right, no more computer crashes plaguing
your business! In addition, Atlantic.Net's network engineers are
on call around the clock to respond to any emergency outages.

Lost & Found:
Help Customers Find You Online
Getting positive exposure for your business
may seem like a daunting and expensive venture, especially in
the gigantic and constantly changing world of Cyberspace.
But it's really a piece of cake to connect customers with your
business, especially if you team up with the most powerful and
popular tool that Web shoppers use to find what they want online
— the search engine.
Search engines get millions of hits per day from customers searching
for products, services, and other information, and it's easier
than you think to get your site into a search engine database!
Here's what you need to do to make sure customers see your company's
name at the top of their search results.
• Google
— Many people would argue that Google is the most popular
search engine on the Internet, and they'd probably be right. Fortunately
for you, it's also one of the easiest to join. Just
submit your URL to their Web site free of charge. They'll
check out your site and add you to their server!
• Dogpile
— This search engine may have a funny name, but it can also
boast being the most powerful search engine online. Dogpile is
meta-search engine, meaning that when you search for something
on it, it searches through 10 different engines to give you the
most results! Getting your site on Dogpile is as simple
as paying a yearly fee and submitting your URL to them.
• Yahoo!
— Don't think that Yahoo! is nothing more those funny commercials
you see in between Will and Grace and Scrubs.
It's actually a massive online community with a powerful search
engine divided categorically! To submit your site free of charge,
you fill out a form telling
them how to categorize your company, and they review your
site and add you to their database!
You can also team up with many other promising search engines,
including Excite!
and Lycos.
Just think, you might never have to advertise the old-fashioned
way again! So give your business the exposure it deserves, and
team up with a search engine today.
Did you know? Atlantic.Net also offers Web design
services! Now that you know how to drive traffic to your Web site,
let us show you how you can turn your company's site into a powerful
selling tool. Call toll-free (877) GO-ATLANTIC! That's (877) 462-8526.
