Web site just got a facelift. And not only is it full of colorful
graphics, but we've included features to make the site easier for
you to use — like intelligent navigation that's more intuitive
to your needs as a user, a keyword search to help you quickly find
the information you need, and live chat support so you can ask questions
online. Now, even if you have just one phone line, you can chat
with a Member Services representative online while troubleshooting
your account at the same time. So, come on, check out the
new design! We think you'll like what you see, but even if you
don't, we'd like to hear about it. Please e-mail your comments and
suggestions to surf@atlantic.net.

Slam the Door on Spam
Tell your junk mail to start counting down because its days are
numbered! Now chain letters, advertisements, and other e-mail scum
will spend their days cowering in fear, dreading identification
by SpamScope, the tireless watchdog that will put an end to their
feeble attempts to invade your e-mail account!
SpamScope,
free to all members with Atlantic.Net e-mail accounts, is Atlantic.Net’s
answer to spam, that useless garbage e-mail that congests and crowds
your e-mailbox. Unlike filter programs provided by most major ISPs
and Web sites with only one to three settings of filter strength,
SpamScope offers more customizable options to decide the fate of
your junk mail.
SpamScope arms you with the power to...
• Choose from 20 levels of filter strength. So depending on
what sort of mail you wish to receive (or what mood you’re
in), you can adjust the level accordingly.
• Send spam to your inbox, route to a separate folder, or
destroy it forever!
• Change the subject line of potential spam e-mails to include
a "Potential Spam" warning message.
• Blacklist specific addresses, so you won't have to read
e-mail from the fantastic folks at "totalgarbage@stupid-internet-junk.com"
again.
• Ensure that messages from friends and family always get
through.
• Use SpamScope in conjunction with Atlantic.Net Webmail and
help block computer viruses from invading your PC!
To customize the way SpamScope works for you, visit www.spamscope.com
and login with your Atlantic.Net username and password.

Give Your Friends a Lucky Gift
So
you can't find any four-leaf clovers to give your friends for
St. Patrick's Day? Maybe you can just remind them how lucky they
are instead. Give them Michael J. Fox's Lucky
Man: A Memoir. In it, Fox talks about his battles with Parkinson's
disease, alcohol, and a life of celebrity with the same self-deprecating
humor and sharp wit that made him a star. For more gift ideas,

Tech Tip: Hibernate Your Account
Going away on a vacation? Spending
half the year up North? Well, if you're not heading to one of
the 3,500 cities where
Atlantic.Net service is available, there's no need to pay
your full monthly fee when you're not using your account. Instead,
call Member Services at (800) 921-9328, and, for a small fee,
we'll put your account in hibernation within 30 minutes. When
your account is in hibernation, all your settings remain the same,
but your account sits dormant. So you won't need to worry that
the kids at home are online when they shouldn't be or that your
e-mail account will fill up with unwanted junk mail while you're
away. Just put your account to sleep and enjoy your trip.
When you return, give us a call, and we'll
reactivate your account within 30 minutes. No lost settings, no
unpaid bills, and no pile of junk mail. So you won't need to take
another vacation just to get caught up at home.

Net Profit: Why
Your Small Biz Needs a Web Site
Think your business is too small to warrant a Web site? Think
again. Whether your employee headcount is one or 100, small businesses
like yours can't afford not to have a Web presence. Here's what
a professionally designed Web site can do for you.
1) Launch a Web site, and your office hours more than triple.
Why? While your doors are closed after the 9 to 5 workday ends,
your business can remain open 24/7 online -- generating leads
and revenue while you're asleep.
2) It's easier than ever to turn a Web site into an
e-commerce site that lets your customers shop or make payments
online securely and conveniently. Plus, consumers are growing
increasingly confident about shopping online, according to the
latest Yahoo!/ACNielsen
Internet Confidence Index.
3) Gone are the days of thumbing through the yellow pages. If
a prospective customer searches online and doesn't find you there,
chances are they'll wind up on your competitor's doorstep.
4) Want to level the playing field? On the Web, all sites are
created equal. For less than you probably think, a professional
Web design team can whip up a virtual storefront that will rival
your industry peers'.
5) Every e-mail you send becomes a free advertisement for your
products and services. That's because
your Web address appears on every message sent via you@yourdomain.com,
driving customers directly to your site where they can learn more
about your business.
To find out more about what a Web site can do for your small business,
visit Atlantic.Net
online, send e-mail to sales@atlantic.net,
or call (800) 521-5881.
