INTRODUCTION
This newsletter is sent to Atlantic.Net members each month to provide information on what's happening here at Atlantic.Net. Our goal is to keep you better informed and to get your input on topics of interest. We are working on being the best Internet provider anywhere, and with your feedback we will get there!

Thank you for subscribing to Atlantic.Net Internet Services!

SOUTH FLORIDA NOW ON-LINE
We are pleased to announce that our long-awaited service offering in South Florida is now available. Atlantic.Net members may dial into any of the following locations while traveling, or refer new customers within these areas to receive one free month of service.

North Dade County: 305-760-0011
Miami: 305-537-0011
Deerfield Beach: 954-333-0036
Ft. Lauderdale: 954-334-0011

In conjunction, we have opened our first office outside of Gainesville. Our business sales and Web development divisions are located in Plantation, just outside of Fort Lauderdale. The business sales division handles high-speed dedicated access and Web hosting services. To contact the new office, please click here.

NEW ACCESS NUMBERS ON THE WAY
Due to an equipment move and upgrade, Atlantic.Net subscribers in select cities will be asked to change their access numbers beginning this month. Affected users will be notified via e-mail when it necessary to make this change, along with detailed instructions on how to do it.

The access number is the telephone number that your computer dials to connect to your Atlantic.Net account. Changing the access number is a simple process that only takes a moment. The new numbers will be connected to our new network backbone, resulting in cleaner connections and faster downloads. We will also have the ability to add new phone lines more quickly than ever before.

Once the new numbers are announced you may call Member Services at 1-800-921-9328 with any questions.

VIRTUAL DOMAIN NAMES NOW AVAILABLE
Users with personal or business home pages with their Atlantic.Net accounts will be happy to learn that we have introduced a virtual domain name service. For instance, if your Web page address is currently http://www.atlantic.net/~service (in this case, "service" equals your username), visitors to your site may now type in http://service.members.atlantic.net and be routed to the site. We hope this will make it even easier for visitors to find your Web site. Both addresses point to the same location. For information on setting up a personal Web site please click here.

NEW PHONE LINES AND SERVICE UPGRADES
In the past month we've increased capacity in the following cities to better serve our members: Jacksonville, Ocala and Gainesville.

ACCOUNT HIBERNATION
This the time of year when many of our subscribers leave Florida to travel or live elsewhere for the summer. For these customers we have our Account Hibernation service available. Instead of canceling the service outright, users can hibernate their account for as long as they like for a small monthly fee. If you would like your e-mail forwarded to another address, and make sure that your username is still available when you return, just call Member Services at 1-800-921-9328 and ask to hibernate your account. When you get back in the fall, let us know and your account will be reactivated immediately.

ACCESSING ATLANTIC.NET
A complete listing of our current POPs (Points-of-Presence) is available here.   Remember that you can use your account to dial-in from any of the cities where we offer local access (if you go there on vacation, move, etc.). In addition, you may refer new users (family, friends, etc.) who live in any of these cities and earn a free month of access for yourself.  Note: Travel features and referral credits are not available to promotional account users.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR BILLING METHOD
If you normally pay your Atlantic.Net service fees by check, you may want to consider changing your billing method to credit card or direct bank debit. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. When paying automatically there are no invoice fees and no quarterly payments. For those members who would like to continue paying by check, you may now choose to have your invoice sent via e-mail instead of regular U.S. mail. For more information please e-mail our Billing Department or visit the Billing Options section of our Web page.

For those who would like to pay by direct bank debit, the authorization form is now available in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. You can download it here.
