Atlantic.Net's corporate offices and Member Services call center
will close at noon on Friday, April 19th, so employees can participate
in the annual Atlantic.Net staff appreciation weekend. The Member
Services call center will reopen at 12 a.m. on Monday, April 22nd.
The Network Operations Center will continue to be monitored throughout
the weekend.

Calls
If you've noticed charges on your long-distance bill for calls placed
to Atlantic.Net's toll-free phone numbers, we want to help! To seek
reimbursement, please call Qwest at 1-888-524-8436. You'll need
to provide the following information to get a credit or reimbursement:
• Your name
• Your phone number
• Date and time of calls
• Phone number associated with the disputed charges

Spyware: Is Someone
Watching You?
You might think you're getting a great deal
with that free program you just downloaded, but be careful. That
bargain software may be watching your every move.
"Adware" is advertising-supported software that is free
to users, because the programs push advertising messages. Many adware
programs such as Gator, which saves users time by automatically
completing online forms, also are often considered to be "spyware."
While spyware may not send your name or address to advertisers,
it does send them statistics such as your zip code, the Web sites
you visit, and your on-line buying habits. Many advertisers associated
with spyware install additional tracking software on your computer
and use your Internet connection to compile statistical data. Before
you download free software, remember to read the company's privacy
policy, so you can make an informed decision about using the program.
