Wacky Uses
for Everyday Products
|
 |
Ever wondered what to do with those dingy tennis balls in
the garage or the leftover bag of kitty litter from your
pet-sitting nightmare? Well, wonder no more! So many everyday
products have a number of wacky uses. Yes, it's true
one man's trash is another man's treasure! Check out these
ways to turn your garbage to gold!
On the ball. Tennis
balls can be used for much more than just battling it
out on the courts! By cutting the balls in half you can
child-proof
the sharp corners of furniture. Or pamper yourself by putting
a few tennis balls into a sock and creating your own back
massager.
Here kitty, kitty. Use kitty
litter to deodorize a garbage can or prevent mildew
in your bathroom. Pour an inch of unused kitty litter into
the bottom of your trash can to absorb grease and moisture.
Also try placing a box of kitty litter in your bathtub to
prevent mildew when you leave your house on vacation.
Whip it. Reddi-wip®
is no longer just for ice cream sundaes! Now you can use
it to give yourself a facial! When applied as a face mask,
Reddi-wip® helps moisten dry skin. Leave on for 20 minutes,
then wash off with warm water, followed by cool water.
Solid ground. Did you know you can fertilize
a garden or houseplants using coffee
grounds? Yep, work coffee grounds into the top soil,
and watch your garden flourish. Or if you don't have much
of a green thumb, try repairing scratched woodwork by mixing
coffee grounds with two teaspoons of water. Apply to the
scratch using a cotton ball and watch it disappear!
Dry off. So
your kids got crayon marks on the wallpaper and candle wax
on the counter tops? Well, help is on the way! Use your
hair
dryer to heat the wax from the crayons and candles.
Once it warms, you'll be able to wash the stains away!
