Calling All Ladies! Got Good Jeans?

If you're like me, you hate trying on jeans! I never know what will look good on me, or what'll flatter my body type. And to top it off, there seem to be so many rules to follow. When do I wear low-rise jeans? Should I get relaxed-fit or tapered-leg? By the time I figure all this out, the stores will be closed!

Well ladies, your worries are over because I'm going to make it easier for us all. Here's a look at what jeans you need to buy to flatter your figure.

•Is that J.Lo? Do you get frustrated when you can't pull that perfect pair of jeans up over your backside? It's OK, you just have to maximize your look by minimizing your assets. A must-have for big bottoms, jeans with back pockets will distract the eye and disguise the size of your rear. Also, try camouflaging your tush with low-rise jeans with back seams to create the illusion of longer, leaner legs. Try, Diesel, Mudd, Lei, J.Lo Jeans, or Mavi.

•Boy, Oh Boy! Celebs like Pink and Britney Spears have boyish figures. You know, no fat, no hips, flat stomach — a body most women would die for. Yet it can cause problems when jean shopping. But, fear not, we can easily fix this dilemma. Just stay away from slim-fitted capris that only highlight your straight shape. Instead, round out your body with light-colored, pocketless denim. Check out, Lucky Brand, J.Crew, Joe's Jeans, and Buffalo jeans.

•Hey Shorty! Don't get stuck wearing shorts and miniskirts forever. You can elongate your legs in trouser-style jeans with pinstripes and cuffed hems. Avoid patchwork prints that will break up your silhouette and make you look shorter. Take a look at Levi, Gap, J.Crew Petite, or Petite Sophisticate jeans.

•Look Hip. If your hips are a little wider, it doesn't mean you're doomed to hide behind layers. Just avoid jeans with tapered-legs or high waists. Trim down with bootleg styles or wide-leg jeans to balance your proportions. Head to Lane Bryant, Sears, Old Navy, or the Gap for the perfect pair.
