Sure, your kids have bath toys. But are they just wet versions
of their regular toys? Wet Barbie
dolls and G.I.
Joes aren't any more fun than dry ones. Bath toys need
to be something played with solely in the tub.
Try these new ideas for bath time. Instead of balking at
getting in the tub, your kids will object to getting out.
Toys that squirt or make bubbles are great
for the bath
Try Tub
Tints, colored tablets that fizz and tint the water
when you drop them into the bath. Change the color of the
water to make a blue lagoon, red lava, green slime, or pink
Barbie paradise.
Buy Foam
shapes that stick to the walls of the bathtub when wet.
Your kids can use these to create pictures or learn to spell.
If you're feeling adventurous, or incredibly
creative, try tub
paints, safe for both the tub and children. Some paints
are actually thick, brightly colored soap.
Whatever you decide to give your child to play with in the
tub, make sure that it is something special for bath time
only. And, of course, make sure you play with and talk to
your child while they are in the bath. No matter what they
have to play with, children have the most fun when they
are interacting with other people.
