Q.
I keep seeing these commercials for "voice over IP". What IS that?
- L.Charles

A. I love technology, don't you? Voice over IP (or VoIP) is one of the most interesting new services to come out recently. It allows you to use your internet connection to make phone calls. This can possibly mean a lot of savings for people that normally pay long distance fees, as there are no toll fees or charges for VoIP. Also, the clarity of calls are increased due to VoIP being digital rather than analog.

VoIP does require a high speed internet connection however, and cannot be used with dialup. Check out what Atlantic.Net can offer your business in the way of VoIP, here.
